  • Question: Can I play casual games without registering?

    Answer:

    You can play up to three games on a casual basis, for a cost of $10 per game.

    Please pay at the kiosk before your game, and ensure you receive a Casual Game Voucher.

    After your third casual game, if you wish to keep paying you will need to complete a registration form and pay the registreaion fee.

    Any casual game fees you pay are not deductible from the registration fee if you choose to register.

  • Question: How much does it cost to play, and how can I register?

  • Question: When does netball season start?

    Answer:

    Port Hedland Netball Association plays a traditional winter season, commencing in March and concluding in August annually.

  • Question: I'm a new player, how can I find a club?

    Answer:

    Click here for details of our clubs seeking players.

    Alternatively, you should email info@netballporthedland.com, and include your mobile number, what grade you are interested in playing, what position you play, and when and where you played most recently (eg. Fremantle Netball Association, B1 Grade, 2011).

    You may also like to post a note on our facebook page asking if any teams need a player.

  • Question: When does NetSetGo start, and how can I register?

    Answer:

    NetSetGo runs every Tuesday during Term 2. Click here for more details about NetSetGo.

  • Question: Does my team need to provide their own bibs, ball and timer?

    Answer:

    Yes, each team must provide their own bibs, ball and timers. A limited number of balls are available at the kiosk for $15.

  • Question: What age groups does Port Hedland Netball Association cater for?

    Answer:

    We cater for ages five and up, in the following divisions:

    NetSetGo           5-10 years
    13 & Under          11-13 years
    17 & Under          13-17 years
    Seniors (A,B,C)   18+ years

  • Question: Does my team need to provide an umpire?

    Answer:

    All teams will be required to provide an umpire from time to time.

    If your team has players who are also involved in the Umpiring Squad, the number of times your team has to umpire will be reduced.

  • Question: My team needs to forfeit, who should I contact?

    Answer:

    You should first try and contact the captain of the opposition team to let them know.

    You should also email info@netballporthedland.com to notify the Association. As a courtesy, please be sure to notify us before 4:00pm on the scheduled match day.

    If your team has five players, you must take the court. If you have less than five players at the court five minutes after the scheduled start time, you will automatically forfeit the match.

    If your team forfeits, the opposition team will be awarded the win, plus a ten goals 'for'. Your team will receive ten goals 'against'.

  • Question: When are the North West Championships, and how do I try out?

    Answer:

    The 2017 North West Championships will be held in Karratha on the weekend of 16-18 June.

    This is our major representative carnival, and teams from Broome, Derby, Exmouth, Newman, Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Karratha will be involved.

    Trial dates will be announced soon.

  • Question: Our team does not have enough players for tonight, can we get a junior or a player from another team to fill in?

    Answer:

    Players can only play with the club for which they are registered.

    For example, a player from Lynx 17 & Under team can fill in for Lynx A Grade if necessary, but the same player can not fill in for Eagles A Grade.

  • Question: What night and time is NetSetGo played?

    Answer:

    NetSetGo is played every Tuesday in Term 2, from 3:30-4:30pm.
